Suzanne Davino, Ph.D.
Dr. Davino is a licensed psychologist in NY and CT. She is a senior clinician with particular expertise in treating young adults and helping their parents to support them. Prior to creating a private practice, she was Senior Director of Young Adult Services at Cognitive and Behavioral Consultants (CBC), where, with assistance from Dr. Alec Miller and other colleagues, she created the SAGE program for young adults and their parents. Dr. Suzanne Davino also worked at Four Winds Hospital, where she served as Director of Partial Hospitalization Programs for over a decade.

Dr. Davino specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, a treatment for problems with emotion regulation and mood dependent behaviors. She is also experienced with Cognitive Behavioral Therapies including exposure therapies for trauma, OCD, or phobias. Additionally, Dr. Davino has a special interest in sleep disorders. Dr. Davino works with adolescents, young adults, and older adults.

Group therapy for Parents of Young Adults helps parents learn to regulate their own emotions and improve their communication with young adult children. Additional modules based on SPACE treatments for young adults help parents to decrease accommodation of mood-based problem behaviors in their family members, and to boost their young adults' treatment outcomes.

Dr. Davino draws from DBT models of family interactions for couples, family, and parenting consultation sessions. Her work incorporates SPACE therapy to help parents become more effective with children, teens, and young adults.
